Microsoft for Startups, the multinational's global Startups support program, has signed

guidance from Microsoft experts who will provide expertise on the latest technology
trends in the industry, as well as access to tools, the company said in an official
announcement. Microsoft for Startups is present in 140 countries. In Portugal, the
program has already supported multiple companies, including Unbabel, SWORD
Health and Stratio Automotive.

The nine-month Maze X acceleration programme, promoted by the Calouste
Gulbenkian Foundation and the Edmond de Rothschild Foundations, helps
technological projects in areas such as environmental, social, technological and
economic development.

Each programme is supported by 10 startups which, in addition to being supported,
also have the opportunity to develop pilot tests with partners and receive the best
advice.

Microsoft for Startups' mission will be to act as a global catalyst to position these 10
startups of social and environmental impact to different government entities, NGOs and
multinationals focused on Corporate Social Responsibility. Microsoft will also play a
major role in ensuring that these entrepreneurs achieve their mission and develop
future businesses.
